In this preferences page you can do general settings for the AlbumPlayer.

General

Hide Cursor at Startup.
Hides the cursor immediatly after AlbumPlayer startup. To make the cursor visible again, a hotkey should be used which is defined in Key assignment navigation. Note that in Windows 8 and Windows 10, the cursor is already automically hidden by the OS. In that case better use the default windows behaviour.

Show System Tray Icon
The Mini Window is shown as an icon in the system tray. You can single click the icon to show the Mini Window, unless option "Click Icon shows AP instead of Mini Window"is set. On right mouse click, a pop-up menu is shown instead of the Mini Window.

Setting this option will change behavior for single click on Tray Icon. When you single click the Tray Icon brings the AlbumPlayer window to the front.

Close button action
Define the action from the dropbox what to happen when pressing close from the AlbumPlayer.

Confirm Close
On close the user needs to confirm first.

View Change after Timeout

In this section it is possible to define behavior after certain  timeout.

Go to
Choose a specific view to return to after certain time of not operating AP.

Go to Sleep
Choose a timeout time to make to move to sleeping mode, mostly presenting artist slide show.

Album Player Mini Window

The AlbumPlayer Mini Window can be shown in the lower right corner to show the now playing song without having to bring the AlbumPlayer in front. It also contains playing buttons when supported by the skin. Clicking the cover brings the AlbumPlayer window to the front.

Auto Show on start of song
The Mini Window is automatically shown each time a new song starts to play.

Display Time
Defines the time in seconds that the Mini Window remain visible. A value of  "0", makes the Mini Window always visible.

Mini Window title format
Enter format text here for the title area in the Mini Window. Note that Track Artist and Album are always shown already in different area of the Mini Window. The following tags can be used in the format text:

  • %TrackTitle%
  • %TrackTime%
  • %Artist%
  • %Bitrate%
