Extracting audio CD's

The AlbumPlayer supports CD-extraction. When an audio CD is inserted in the CD drive, it is detected by the AlbumPlayer and the CD is added to the database if not already in. The AlbumPlayer brings up the album info panel. To extract the CD, choose Edit in the album info panel to open the Album editor. In the track list of the Album editor the tracks are shown which are on the CD having a .cda file extension. Below the track list there is a Extract CD Tracks button which opens the Encoding Settings dialog for the target files to write on disk.  The dialog contains the following sections:

Output

Output Folder
Contains the target path to rip to. Set this one to where you music database is located. You can use the Browse button to locate the output folder.

Output Filename
Contains a drop down list with output formats for the target files.

Encoding Format
Contains drop down list with encoding formats. Some formats are working immediatly after AlbumPlayer install, but other formats needs to have a (freeware) encoding executable placed in the AlbumPlayer installation folder. The following encoding algorithms are supported:

Quality
The quality field either contains a drop down list with bit-rates or quality levels in case of variable bit rates.

Start Extracting
This button starts the extraction process of the tracks.
